Bobby Godwin, a business broker with Transworld Business Advisors of Eastern NC, has over 37 years of professional experience in business ownership, business development, sales and business operation. His experience is in multiple service industries including transportation, landscaping and extensive experience working within the vehicle maintenance sector. Over the course of his career, he has received various awards including the Governor’s Award for volunteer service. Shortly after high school graduation, Bobby joined the army and attended basic training in Fort Dix New Jersey. Additional training was conducted at Fort Gordon in Augusta Georgia. Once this training was completed, he served in Germany and Fort Sill Oklahoma. He continued his military career in the North Carolina National Guard in Goldsboro North Carolina. Over the years Bobby’s approach to business has always been to help good people do good deals. He strives to be an active part of our community and will work hard to always do” What is Right”.

Bobby is a native Eastern North Carolinian that grew up working with his family on a farm. He continues to live, work and play in Eastern NC, with the goal of attracting and retaining investment in our region and to improve the quality of life within the communities that we serve.

In his spare time, Bobby enjoys his time with family and friends, fishing, reading, and attending baseball games. Bobby is married to Lynn Pittman Godwin and they have three children and six grandchildren who all live in eastern North Carolina
